研究领域为大型海藻繁殖生物学,主要从事大型海藻生理生态学、繁殖生物学、水产养殖环境治理及生态修复方面的研究。选育耐高温江蓠属新品系、快速繁育礁膜属新品系各1个。相关研究成果在《Ecotoxicology and Environmental Safety》、《Aquaculture》、《Marine Pollution Bulletin》、《Aquaculture Reports》、《Algal Research》、《水产学报》等国际著名期刊和国内核心期刊发表,共计34篇(SCI 22篇),授权专利21项(发明专利6项),参与藻类著作编写一部。
